Who it's for — Developmental Mastery
Who it’s for

Capable people who understand the pattern, and stay in it.

Most of the people I work with have already done a great deal: built companies, run teams, trained in a discipline, read the books. What they bring me is the one thing that hasn’t moved. This page is for working out which door is yours.

What they have in common

The same pattern, in different lives.

Already capable

They arrive already successful, or already skilled at helping other people change.

Insight hasn’t done it

They can describe the pattern precisely, where it came from and why it persists, and it is still running.

Trying harder hasn’t done it

Effort and willpower built the rest of their lives. Applied to this, effort tends to keep the pattern in place.

If you’re not sure which

Some people are both.

A therapist with a practice to grow is also a leader with a client list. A founder who mentors is also a change-worker. If you sit between the two, start with whichever page describes the thing you want to change, or write and tell me, and we’ll work it out in a conversation.

What the work isn’t

Not therapy, and not a course in understanding yourself better.

I describe the work as education and adult development. It isn’t medical or psychological treatment. And it isn’t another way of understanding the pattern: the point is demonstrable, practical change, and a struggle carried for years gone in weeks.

Begin

Whichever door, it starts with a conversation.

There’s no hurry in it. We look at what’s been stuck, whether this work is right for you, and which way of working together makes sense in your actual life.

You’ll get a personal reply, usually within a couple of days.
